The 17th European Conference on the Spectroscopy of Biological Molecules (ECSBM), leading event within the research field, took place from September, 11 to 14, in Amsterdam, The Netherlands this year. More than 150 participants were discussing topics on where the three fundamental disciplines Physics, Chemistry, and Biology meet. Besides the scientific focus of the conference, also instrumentation played a significant role throughout the talks and poster sessions. On two posters Menlo has presented its latest developments of femtosecond lasers for microscopic tissue imaging: the Er-fiber based compact ELMO laser module with multicolor output for nonlinear microscopy, and the novel Yb-fiber based YLMO modular product family for multiphoton fluorescence excitation, with the YLMO Color variant as a tunable excitation source.
