Nobel Prize in Physics 2005
Congratulations to our founding partner Ted Hänsch who has been awarded with the Nobel Prize in Physics 2005 for his contributions to the development of laser-based precision spectroscopy, including the optical frequency comb technique. The Nobel Prize awarded technology has been the starting point for our company Menlo Systems. Congratulations also to John L. Hall and Roy Glauber who share the price together with Ted Hänsch.
Hänsch is Director of the Max-Planck-Institut für Quantenoptik (quantum optics) and Professor of experimental physics and laser spectroscopy at the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich, Bavaria, Germany.
