光時計
光原子時計は、通常400から1000 nmの波長の光学的または可視光領域で時計遷移を用います。9192631770 Hzの超微細遷移に基づく現在の標準セシウム時計とは対照的に、このような電磁振動はマルチテラヘルツです。振動周波数がはるかに高いため、今日の光時計はセシウム時計の精度を数桁上回っています。
