Dual comb spectroscopy

Spectroscopy of trace gasses relies on large bandwidth and highest sensitivity methods such as Fourier transform spectroscopy and cavity enhanced detection. The multiheterodyne detection nature of dual-comb spectroscopy provides a high-speed solution overcoming limitations related to conventional methods. In combination with optical parametric frequency converison dual-comb spectroscopy gives acces to the mid-infrared region far beyond 2 µm for the characterization of rotational-vibrational transitions of numerous gasses, liquids and solids.
